On the morning of 27th June 2025, a wave of excitement swept through our school compound as our students boarded the bus for a long-awaited educational tour to Holy Cross SS in Jinja. This trip was more than just a break from routine; it was a strategic journey designed to expose students to diverse learning environments, innovative teaching methods, and peer interaction, all of which are vital to nurturing well-rounded learners.
The purpose of the visit was rooted in educational development, and the goals were clear:
To expose students to different learning methods and educational environments.
To promote peer learning and academic exchange between schools.
To observe and appreciate best practices in discipline, leadership, and school culture.
To motivate and inspire students through new perspectives and success stories.
The trip started early on Friday morning with joyful cheers and anticipation. The scenic route to Jinja was a pleasant experience, filled with songs, laughter, and group discussions. As we approached the gates of Holy Cross SS, the students were welcomed warmly by the staff and student leaders — a sign of the school’s discipline and hospitality.
The day’s program included:
A guided tour of the school compound, including classrooms, laboratories, dormitories, and the school library.
An interactive session with students and staff, where our students had a chance to engage in Q&A sessions, share academic goals, and discuss study habits.
A powerful career guidance talk by one of Holy Cross’s senior teachers, focusing on goal setting, time management, and making smart academic decisions.
